Prof. Mohan Maharishi, is a 1965 alumnus of NSD who graduated with the first position with the Best Director and Best All Rounder Awards. He was also the Founder Member of the NSD Repertory Company and Dishantar. Later he held the office of the Director National School of Drama (1984-1987) and Vice Chairman (2000-2002). A veteran theatre director, Mr Maharishi was Theatre Advisor to the Government of Mauritius (1973-1979), Professor and Department Head of the Department of Indian Theatre, Punjab University (1987-2002) and Dean of Punjab University, Chandigarh (2001-2002). Now in Delhi he is actively planning to further the cause of Theatre and Theatre Professionals in Delhi. The NSD Repertory, to the pleasure of the Delhi audience, periodically performs two of his plays, 'Einstein' and 'Deewar Mein Ek Khidki Rehti Thi'. He has directed more than 100 plays, which include some original works and classics from both Eastern and Western Dramatic literature. He is among the select few, who have been accorded the President's Award of 'Eminent Theatre Person'.

Sanjiv Chopra, is a 1980 IIT Delhi alumnus with 25 years of corporate experience with the last 15 years as business profit centre head and Managing Director in both India and international markets. He worked 16 years with Ranbaxy and was instrumental in establishing its Diagnostics business based in Delhi, European & CIS markets based in Moscow, South East Asian markets based in Bangkok, and was Managing Director, Ranbaxy China based in Guangzhou. He is a very experienced General Manager and his last corporate assignment was as the Managing Director, India of an American Medical Devices MNC. An engineer and general manager by profession, he was the founder member of an amateur theatre group 'Dramatech' formed by ex-IITians and has acted in 15 plays and 5 TV serials. He has recently quit his executive life to further the cause of theatre at large.

Shreevardhan Trivedi, is a 1994 alumnus of NSD. An established and respected Actor, he has acted in over 25 plays and has directed and mounted several large productions including one with 3000 children. He is a familiar face of TV news audiences as he hosts the popular investigative show 'Sansani' every evening on Star News. His heart has always been in theatre and he feels very passionately for the plight of his fellow actors of theatre.
